Take Patagonia, the outdoor clothing company that has built a billion-dollar brand by putting environmental responsibility at the core of its business— Giving 1% of sales to environmental causes while making high-quality, repairable gear that reduces waste. Founder Yvon Chouinard even restructured the company so that all future profits go toward fighting climate change.

They are a personal favourite— you´ll hear me talk about them.

And it’s not just big companies.

Entrepreneurs like Bea Johnson, who pioneered the zero-waste lifestyle and turned it into a badass consulting business, or activists like Leah Thomas, who built a brand around intersectional environmentalism, or my aunt KT, who makes sculptures inviting us to contemplate our place within nature, inspiring a sense of wonder— She´s also the coolest person I know.

Most importantly? They are all able to live by doing what they love.

Proving it is possible to create a successful career without comprimising the planet´s health.

Farmers are creating regenerative agriculture businesses, engineers are designing circular economy solutions, and creatives are using media to drive environmental awareness — all while earning a living.

It´s a good time to be alive.

The opportunities exist, but without guidance, it’s easy to feel lost.
